Commissary
The Commissary, in Rose Park, is known for their loaded breakfast milkshakes, colourful smoothie bowls, stacked waffles and pancakes- often topped with fairy floss – s’mores French toast, and other sugar-packed eats. They also have delicious burgers, salads, and savoury brunch classics for those without a sweet tooth. A fan favourite, the Commissary is always booked out both inside and on their balcony, so be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Bloom
The new kid in Adelaide’s brunch scene, Bloom opened in early 2021, and it does not disappoint. The aesthetically pleasing venue, set next to a small creek in Thebarton, focuses on shared plates and wood-fired eats, such as their cauliflower, barramundi, and charcoal chook – all available for brunch and throughout the day.
Karma & Crow
Hipster-chic café Karma & Crow, located in Richmond, has a succulent and gift shop, vintage clothes for sale, a variety of juice on tap, an attached barber shop, and of course delicious brunch. With funky options like sticky pumpkin on turmeric toast, mint peas on rye, and blue swimmer crab scrambled eggs, the menu – like the venue’s diverse offerings- is never boring.
My Grandma Ben
My Grandma Ben is a sustainable, quaint eatery located in Bowden’s hospitality hub, Plant 4. With a dried bouquets hanging from the ceiling and meals topped with the café’s house-made ferments, it aptly gives off the sweet, welcoming feel of a grandmother’s home. The ever-rotating menu features unique, ferment-filled twists on brunch classics, and they often host pickling classes so guests can take home jars of their own.
CREAM
Located in the seaside town of Brighton, much-loved CREAM has a range of breakfast staples, unique food combinations, thickshakes and a lot of coffee (with the name a clever acronym for ‘Coffee Rules Everything Around Me’). CREAM is also known for their inventive food specials and bottomless coffee deals, all served up from their popular Jetty Road location.
