Anything is possible in SA. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, seek support, dream big and collaborate with others, because SA is the perfect launch pad for your next adventure.

Are you SA born and bred, or has it become home more recently? Tell us about why SA is home for you.

I am born and bred in Adelaide.

I love this city. The weather, the people, the lifestyle, the beaches, the food culture. It has everything I want and need plus more. I can see opportunities within this state and feel I can grow with SA.

Where do you spend your time?

Personally I spend a lot of time at work, mainly because our businesses keep growing, which is a positive! But, when I’m not working, I am either relaxing on a beach down south or enjoying lunch at one of our beautiful wineries.

What do you do and why here?

I own five food related businesses – 2 restaurants, and 3 food education businesses. The restaurants draw inspiration from our amazing food culture and beautiful produce that derives from our pristine land and environment. The food education businesses include a cooking school, registered training organisation and business called Dietary Hawk which is educating businesses around appropriate dietary requirement management. These businesses draw inspiration from my background as a dietitian and have a genuine social and health focus.

What are your favourite things to recommend to people new to South Australia?

It has to be to take a drive along our coastline, take in the amazing views and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on the beach with a bottle of Clare Valley Riesling. You get to enjoy 3 of South Australia’s best assets – wine, seafood and beaches!

What is your tip for other locals?

Anything is possible in SA. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, seek support, dream big and collaborate with others, because SA is the perfect launch pad for your next adventure.

Describe SA in one sentence.

A humble, honest state built on tradition and quality creating a reputation as the food and wine capital of Australia.

What’s the best thing about living here?

The fact that anything and everything is attainable. Some of the world’s best wine regions, beautiful beaches, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest undercover food market, small bars and world-renowned stadiums are literally only minutes away from each other. Plus, we have a melting pot of bright and generous young and experienced individuals who are willing to support each other, innovate together and combine our strengths to create a beautiful state with a prosperous future.
